Designing Mammootty's Official Website – A Memorable Opportunity
I had the wonderful opportunity to design the official website of legendary actor Mammootty — www.mammootty.com— around five years ago, when he expressed interest in redesigning his site.
The website was structured around four key microsites focusing on:
Cinema
Blood Bank
Resources
Community & Charity
At the time of designing it, I didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of the opportunity. Only after the site launched and received overwhelming responses from various circles, did I realize how significant this project truly was. It remains one of the most important milestones of my career — and I know opportunities like this don’t come twice.
Working with Mr. Mammootty
We submitted three different design options for his review. Mr. Mammootty personally asked me,
“Which of these designs do you like, and why?”
I explained the strengths of my preferred design — particularly its user-friendliness, layout, and how it balances content with visual elegance. He was convinced by my reasoning and generously gave me complete creative freedom to proceed with the work. It was truly an inspiring and respectful collaboration.
Designing for Pranchiyettan and the Saint
Following that, I also had the privilege to design the official website for the acclaimed movie
Pranchiyettan and the Saint – www.pranchiyettan.com
The movie went on to win the Kerala State Film Award for Best Popular Film (2010). I consider it a great honor to have been involved in such a culturally impactful project. Designing a website for such a critically and popularly appreciated film was both exciting and fulfilling.
I'm truly grateful for these opportunities — moments that not only elevated my portfolio but also deepened my passion for designing websites that tell stories and celebrate greatness.
